Sugar Syrup with Saffron


1 cup of sugar 

1/2 water 

1 tsp lemon 

pinch of Saffron 

2 tbsp of rose wate


  • On a high heat incorporate all the ingredients and stir well to combine. Bring to boil then reduce the heat to medium or medium-low. Cook for about 10-14 minutes until it thickens. Test the consistency by dropping a little drop in a small plate let cool for few seconds. Let cool down at room temperature then serve with a dessert dish of your choice. Store in the refrigerator for 10 days.
